I was born in Athens, Greece and before my 3rd birthday, my parents decided to move to Brussels, accepting a job offer as members of the Greek delegation to the European Commission. I then experienced free movement as a child and when studying Law at the University of Athens, I was fascinated about European Law, the four freedoms and the broad reach involved. Finally, I specialised during my Master Degree in that area, by writting my dissertation in the free movement of persons and the restrictions posed by member states. While practicing law, I undertook cases of labour and social security law, dealing with regulatory-compliance issues.I still work within this area, also involving in migration law. The free movement in Europe and internationally, has always been a part of my life, somehow or other and I feel it should continue to constitute the base of Europe\'s common values and rights.
